Platinum Jubilee Exhibition

Have you any memorabilia that celebrates the Queen’s Coronation and past Jubilees ?

If so, would you be prepared to lend it to the Ropley History Network and Archive for our exhibition on Saturday 4th (10-4) and Sunday 5th June (11-4) at the Coffee Rooms, Church Lane, Ropley.

We are putting together an exhibition of memories of the Queen’s reign – her Coronation and past Jubilees.  Have you any photographs, newspapers, videos, flags, certificates, coins etc – even tea-towels – that are connected to the Coronation or the Jubilees?  Would you be willing to lend them to the exhibition? Please drop off your contribution to the Coffee rooms, the day before the exhibition on Pram Race day – Friday 3rd June between 1- 2.30pm.  Or bring them along to the Ropley Society stall at the Pram Race.  You can also contact us at our email if you can contribute – ropleyhistory@gmail.com and via telephone – either Carole 772345 or Caroline 773243.

Jubilee Coin Trail – Something for the children or for the whole family!

Following a map and trail instructions around the village (approx. 2.5 miles) youngsters can match up coins from different monarchs to the buildings around the village.  There will be a small prize for those who match them. This should be an entertaining way of learning about some of the landmarks in our locality.

Please collect your map and trail instructions from the Jubilee exhibition at The Coffee Rooms.
